techstack TERMS OF USE

Welcome to TechStack, a service provided by JSP The Tech Life LLC. By accessing or using the TechStack app, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the platform. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the app.

Overview of TechStack

TechStack is an online platform that connects users ("End Users") who require technical assistance with registered Professional Users who are qualified to help resolve technical issues. By using TechStack, you acknowledge that your contact information and location may be shared with other users for the sole purpose of resolving the issues or requests posted on the platform.

User Registration & Responsibilities

You must register to use TechStack, providing accurate and up-to-date information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for any activity under your account. By using TechStack, you agree to abide by these Terms and our community guidelines.

End Users Posting Issues & Requests

As an End User, you may post technical issues or service requests on TechStack. When posting, you consent to share your contact information and location with Professional Users, solely for the purpose of assisting you. If a Professional User contacts you beyond the scope of resolving your issue, you may request their contact information and seek legal aid.

Removal of Posts

End Users are free to remove their posts at any time. This will remove the post from the active listings and clear your contact information from the Professional Users' Client Lists. If you delete your account, all your posts will also be removed from the active listings.

Pro User Upgrade & AI Access

End Users have the option to upgrade to a Pro User account, which grants access to TechStack AI, an integrated OpenAI-powered assistant, for a monthly subscription fee. This feature provides additional assistance for technical issues. Pro Users do not have a Professional Account but enjoy AI-driven assistance, which is not available to regular End Users.

Reviews and Feedback

Both End Users and Professional Users may leave reviews for completed or uncompleted service requests. Reviews should be truthful, respectful, and based on your genuine experience. These reviews are visible to other users to ensure transparency and maintain trust within the TechStack community.

Professional Users – Responsibilities & Subscription

Professional Users must subscribe to a paid monthly plan to access the platform's features, including viewing and responding to technical requests, adding clients to their private client lists, and offering services. Professional Users also share their contact information, skills, and optional certifications with End Users to foster a competitive and transparent market. Professional Users also have access to TechStack AI for professional use.

TechStack Platform Fees

TechStack may charge additional fees for certain services or when we facilitate assistance in resolving issues. These fees will be clearly disclosed when applicable. Any third-party fees related to courses or services on the platform are outside TechStack’s control.

Learning & Upskilling

All users, whether End Users or Professional Users, have access to the Learn tab, which provides affiliate links to courses (such as those offered by Udemy) to help upskill or diversify your IT portfolio. TechStack is not responsible for the content or quality of these courses.

Public Platform & Community Guidelines

TechStack is a public platform. Users must interact with respect, dignity, and courtesy. Harassment, abusive behavior, or misuse of the platform is strictly prohibited. TechStack reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our community guidelines.

Data Privacy

By using TechStack, you consent to the collection and sharing of personal data, including contact information and location, to facilitate the resolution of posted technical issues. TechStack will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we use and protect your data.

Liability Disclaimer

TechStack is not liable for any damages, losses, or issues arising from your use of the platform. TechStack only serves as a forum for connecting End Users with Professional Users, and we assume no responsibility for the outcomes of any services performed or transactions conducted outside the app. All users are responsible for ensuring they follow proper guidelines and safety precautions when interacting with each other.

Termination of Accounts

Users may delete their accounts at any time. Deleting your account will also remove all your posts and personal data from active listings. TechStack reserves the right to terminate or suspend accounts if users violate these Terms or engage in misconduct.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between End Users and Professional Users, TechStack may assist in facilitating communication to resolve the matter. However, TechStack is not responsible for resolving disputes outside the scope of the platform’s services. Users are encouraged to seek legal counsel if necessary.

Amendments to These Terms

TechStack reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated to users via the app or other appropriate channels. Continued use of the platform after changes to the Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state where JSP The Tech Life LLC is incorporated.
